Taking part in some card challenges was one of the things I had promised myself I would do once my website was updated. I spent some time browsing around on Monday and I decided to start here:

I love this combination of colours and they fitted perfectly with the Ride with Me bundle that I have chosen to create with during my Facebook lives this week.
My Card
During Monday’s live, I had created the little 3D trucks using water coloured shimmery white cardstock. You can catch up with it below.
I had loved the look of the water colouring on the trucks, so decided to carry that theme over to my card.

I decided to make this a 5″ x 7″ card base, because that allowed me to fit 3 trucks down the centre of the card. This was created by cutting a piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock that measured 7″ x 10. I then scored it at 5″ on the 10″ side.
I used my Stamparatus and the hinged method to position the trucks on the shimmery white cardstock panel (which measured 11.5cm x 16.5cm ). I was able to achieve this spacing by moving the plate down 2 notches each time. I stamped the three centre trucks first and then stamped the 2 each side by moving my cardstock over to the far right and then far left of the Stamparatus.
The trucks were stamped with stazon ink, before being water coloured in the three colours:
- Granny Apple Green
- Blueberry Bushel
- Balmy Blue
I also added some Gray Granite for the wheels, to add a faint colour to the windows and to put some ground under the tyres.
The 2 greetings from the set were stamped onto shimmery white card and cut up, before being mounted on Blueberry Bushel card. I stuck these in place down the card front, between the trucks, using mini dimensionals.
I then used the small heart stamp from the set and some blueberry bushel ink to stamp some small hearts in the gaps.
I mounted the stamped card front onto a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock measuring 12cm x 17cm
I took a length of white bakers twine and coloured it with the dark Granny Apple Green and dark Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends. I then wrapped it around the 2 layers and added a metal key embellishment before tying a bow.

This card front was then adhered to the Blueberry Bushel base.
The finishing touch, was to use some fine tip glue to add “glass” to the windows and leave it somewhere safe to dry.
