Sometimes you see products in the catalogue and you know instantly that you are going to love them. This bundle was one of those products.

I have created a bundle of beautiful cards, both for my lives and for classes. They give a real feel of English Cottage Garden.

Monday

I always pick a sample from the catalogue to re-create during Monday’s Live. I made some tweaks to the original sample, but I loved the layers and curled edges on this card. The original in the catalogue is stitched with a sewing machine, but I used stitched rectangle dies instead. The colour was added with ink and Aqua Painter. The greeting was heat embossed with white embossing powder. The papers come from the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper pack and I love the addition of the ribbons and linen thread.

Friday

Having used an Aqua Painter and ink to colour Monday’s card, I wanted to use Stampin’ Blends and Watercolour Pencils for my cards in this live. I die cut a stack of flowers, cats and birds from white card and then using the card waste as a template, I set up my Stamparatus to stamp the die cuts. This will make future stamping of these lovely images easier and quicker.

Having sponged Pool Party ink onto the shimmery white card, I stamped the All Wired Up image onto the background. I then stamped the gate and fence panels onto crumb cake card with soft suede ink and die cut them. The flowers were coloured with Stampin’ Blends and the garden image built up in the front of the fence panels.

The greeting came from the new 2nd release Sale-a-Bration stamp set, “Tags in Bloom” and punched out with the Label Me Lovely Punch. Just a swirl of braided linen trim finishes it off.

The 2nd card uses Very Vanilla as a base, with the gate and fence sponged with Soft Suede ink. I cut the gate aperture from the front of a side opening card, stamped the fence panels either side and then cut along the top to make a shaped front card. The gate was then stuck in place. I used a spritz of rubbing alcohol and pacific blue ink to colour the back panel.

A host of flowers were die cut, stamped and “planted” in the garden.

As always you can watch the cards in production on the You Tube video.

And there’s more…

Grace’s Garden was also the stamp set we used in the Stamp-a-Stack class this week, so that was 3 more cards created with this fabulous bundle.
