I was unable to join in with Kylie’s international Blog Highlights last month, so it is good to be back. The theme for these highlights is always a “Thank You” card; an opportunity to express gratitude for someone in your life.
As always with the Blog Highlights, you are invited to head over and check out the gallery of projects that have been posted by all the participants. You get to vote for your favourite 5 and in a couple of weeks, those 10 crafters who received the most votes will be invited to take part in a special Blog Hop
My Project
I love this “Posted For You” stamp set and its coordinating punch, so my little water coloured “postage stamp” was the starting point for this Thank You card. The mint macaron cardstock was embossed with the mini embossing folder from the pair of greenery embossing folders. It gives such a pretty frame for the project. I used a sponge and some shaded spruce ink to sponge over the embossed image, to help it pop a bit. This panel was stuck to a Shaded Spruce Cardstock layer and the “postage stamp” was stuck in place with dimensionals.
I die cut the “thank you” from the Well Written dies in Calypso Coral cardstock and then stamped the “Just a note” sentiment in Stazon ink and cut it up. I added a soft water colour wash over the sentiment. The little Calypso Coral flowers were die cut using the Garden gateway dies. Once I had added these to the embossed foliage, I added some small pearl centres.
Using the dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend, I coloured enough of the Whisper White crinkled seam binding to wrap around the bottom of the shaded spruce mat and to add a bow with glue dots. The card front was attached to a Thick Whisper White card base.
Don’t forget to go and check out the other gorgeous projects and to cast your vote.

I hope you enjoy this project and have a go at creating one yourself. Who would you like to say “Thank You” to?
