The suite of products that has been gracing my craft desk this week is the “Follow Your Art” suite. A fun, bright collection that is perfect for all us crafters, but also lovers of stationary and the humble paper clip.
If you are someone who will get excited by a paper paper clip, then read on.
The Projects
Monday
On Monday, as is our custom, we picked a design from the catalogur and recreated it.
The gorgeous row of pencils had touches of colour added with watercolour pencils. There was a background of Designer Series Paper from the co-ordinating pack and the greeting was made up of 2 stamped images, cut up and interspersed with each other. One was Calypso Coral ink on Petal Pink card, whilst the other was Pacific Point card with a white embossed greeting.
Thursday
On Thursday we created two very different cards.
The first was designed with exam results in mind and ready to send our congratulations on a job well done. Pens and paper clips all lend themselves perfectly to this theme. We used foil and silver embossing to add some shine to our card
The second card was inspired by the sentiment in the stamp set.
“Let’s stay up late and craft”
I used die cut buttons to represent the numbers on the clock and pencils that had been trimmed slightly, to form the hands. The addition of the other elements that had been stamped, coloured in and die cut, gave the finishing touch. I kept to a basic colour palette of Flirty Flamingo, Rich Razzleberry and Balmy Blue. I even used my blends to colour the white twine which I then wrapped around the spools.
