I am delighted to be joining this Blog Hop for the first time with a simple fancy fold with fussy cut images.

The idea of this hop is to provide inspiration for cards you can create without having lots of equipment and without using complicated techniques. Whether you are a relatively new crafter, or just looking for some easy to replicate projects. you’ll find lots to inspire you on this hop.

A Simple Fancy Fold with Fussy Cut Images

I love this really easy card fold and it is a great way to play with your beautiful Designer Series Papers. For this card, even those cute dogs were cut from the papers. I have been binge watching The Dog House this week, a UK programme that follows the stories of families who come to a Rescue Centre looking to rehome a dog – and of course the dogs they meet. The rescue centre is the one we adopted our dog from, who we sadly had to say goodbye to last September, so I am feeling the love for our waggy friends at the moment.

• Tools: Paper Snips
• Paper/Card: Real Red card stock; Basic White card stock; Playful Pets Designer Series Paper
• Ink: Memento ink
• Embellishments: Resin Hearts, Playful Pets Trim Combo
• Adhesives; Multipurpose Liquid Glue; Stampin’ Dimensionals; Glue Dots

Instructions

• Fold the card base in half along the score line. Cut 7cm (2 5/8″) from the right hand side of the card front. You will turn the piece you have cut off 90 degrees to form the front panel.
• Stick the striped DSP to the inside panel of the card and the bones/paw print paper to the front left hand flap.

• Take the panel cut from the card front and turning it so it is landscape, stick the word DSP to the panel. Wrap the ribbon around this panel and attach to the back of the panel with tear & tape.
• Put some dimensionals on the left hand side of this panel and stick to the front flap of the card.
• Using your paper snips, cut out two dogs and a ball from the Designer Series Paper. If you leave a small border around the dogs as you cut them out it will make it slightly easier as you won’t need to cut out all the tiny details, such as the dogs’ fur.

• Stick the large dog to the front panel with multipurpose glue and attach the second dog with dimensionals. Add the ball with a dimensional.
• Stamp the greeting onto Real Red card stock with memento ink. Cut the two words out separately and attach to the card front with dimensionals.
• The final embellishments for the card were a bow created from the Real Red ribbon and stuck to the side of the front panel with a glue dot and 3 of the Resin Hearts stuck to the back panel.
• Add the Basic White panel to the inside flap of the card so you have a space to write your greeting.
