As next month is Father’s Day, I thought we would take a look at some more masculine cards.
It is not uncommon to see card makers appealing for inspiration for cards for men. Lots of us struggle to create cards for the Guys. Husbands, Brothers, Sons and of course Fathers, as well as male friends and other family members.
Many of us have lots of men in our lives. We, of course, want to produce cards for them that will delight them and will demonstrate our love.
As well as the usual birthdays, anniversaries, get well and congratulations cards, we are coming up towards Father’s Day. This is a key occasion to get creative for the men in our lives.
Some More Masculine Cards Inspiration
Here are three very different male card designs to help inspire you. Of course, you can change the sentiments to make them fit different occasions.
A Dandy Waistcoat
Here is a dandy waistcoat. It has a paisley pattern, worn over a Gray Granite shirt and with a Black bow tie. You can instantly change the look of this card. Just change the papers and cardstock and create something that suits the style of the recipient. The Handsomely Suited bundle is a great collection of stamps and dies, that allows you to play dress-up with your men’s cards. This Well-Suited Designer Series paper was also from the same Well-Suited suite in the January-June mini catalogue.
A Good Man
The beautiful line drawings in the “A Good Man” stamp set are just heart meltingly beautiful. Perhaps you are creating cards for a young Dad. Or maybe you are reminiscing about days long gone. Whichever, these gentle scenes are perfect for Fathers of all ages. I coloured the image with watercolor pencils. Finally, the patterned paper came from the Neutrals 6”x6” Designer Paper Assortment.
A Layered Tree
Trees are always a good stand by for male cards. Luckily, these new stamps and dies from the Beauty of the Earth suite can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. The Bark 3D embossing folder is also a component of that suite. Firstly the top layer of the tree was die cut from a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock. I used Blending Brushes to add different shades of green.
How Can I Help?
Have I inspired You? I certainly hope these cards help you to think about designs for cards you are creating for the men in your life. Whatever the occasion, you’ll find something in our range to help.
