I have created a fancy fold card with foiled paper for the latest Festive Friday Challenge.
The challenge this month is celebrating the Summer Olympics. These were rescheduled from last summer due to the worldwide pandemic, but they are due to begin in Tokyo on 23rd July.
But what to pick from the Inspo list?
The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!
My project used: Rings, Encouragement, Gold, Silver, Bronze, Fancy Fold

Instructions
- Fold the card base along the score line. Stick the DSP mat to the front.
- Burnish along the score line on the smaller piece of Basic Black. Add adhesive to the back of the scored flap and stick to the card base, to form the flap across the front. Add the large Very Vanilla mat to the inside of the card.
- Punch 2 Elegant tags from Basic Black card and stick the to the reverse of the front flap with the scalloped pieces showing above and below the flap.
- Stamp the flower and greeting on the smaller Very Vanilla mat and stick to the inside of the front flap. If, like me, your sentiment is a little wonky, just create a small separate mat on an oddment of Very Vanilla card. (whoops!)
- Die cut 3 rings from Basic Black card using the layering circles. If the largest plain circle die is no. 1 and the smallest plain circle is no. 8, I used : Ring 1 – 1 & 3; Ring 2 – 3 & 5; Ring 3 – 5 & 7.
- Stick the largest ring to the front flap, cut the medium ring in half and stick to the two corners of the card front, trimming off any excess and stick the smaller ring on the centre left of the card front.
- Die cut the metallic floral DSP with circle die no. 3 and stick inside the front ring.

Beautiful card, Helen! It’s awesome that you give the directions in metric and imperial.
Thank you. It has just become a habit and I have a few US ladies following my blog.
That’s lovely Helen, and a great idea using the tag punch pieces behind the square. If only I could remember all these ideas when I start making a card!
Gorgeous card, Helen. The papers are gorgeous and you have used them wonderfully.
