As the 15% Off Sale has begun on Stampin’ Up’s Designer Series Paper, it seemed appropriate to play with some of the beautiful paper on a recent Live.
The two packs of paper I chose to showcase were the Pansy Petals 12″ x 12″ collection and also the Hand Penned 12″ x 12″ collection.
Creating Cards with Patterned Papers
Firstly, this pretty Hand penned card. I saw this style of Fancy Fold card recently and it was created by Susie Wood. It was such a simple fold, but was perfect for showcasing the beautiful papers. I picked 3 different patterns to show on my card. The front scalloped panel was created with the “Scalloped Contours” Dies.
Of course a pretty card deserves a pretty envelope, so I used some more of the Designer Series paper to cover the flap on my envelope.
For this second card, I decided to go square. The fabulous Soft Succulent gingham paper was teamed with the beautiful pansy print. Even the pansy and the leaves on the layered mats were die cut from the paper. These mats came from the “Hippo and Friends” dies.
To give the envelope an extra wow factor, this flap was also decorated with matching paper as well.
