Today I have created a Snowflake Christmas card. In days gone by, when I had regular classes, we would normally be Christmas crafting by June, so we mustn’t forget to get ourselves organised. For this card I have used Highland Heather and have added lots of bling. Just what you want from a Christmas card.

Instructions For Snowflake Christmas Card
- Fold card base along score line.
- Cut the snowflake label shape from the centre of the Highland Heather cardstock. Stick to the basic White mat.
- Stamp the greeting in the aperture with Highland Heather ink. Stamp some small snowflakes in Highland Heather ink around the edge of the aperture. Stick the mats to the card base with dimensionals.
- Die cut 3 snowflakes in Highland Heather and 3 matching snowflakes in Basic White. Stick them together so the white arms show through the centres of the Highland Heather arms.
- Arrange the snowflakes around the edge of the aperture and stick in place.
- Add Opal Rounds to the centre of these snowflakes and then add dots of Shimmery Crystal effects and some rhinestones to the card front.
- Wrap some silver twine around the left side and tie with a bow.
- For the card insert, use the large snowflake that cuts into the cardstock to create a partial snowflake in the bottom right hand corner. Stick in place.
- Stamp some snowflakes on the envelope.
The Shimmery Crystal effects gives a soft glittery effect when it is dry and looks different on the coloured card from the white card. It is a nice contrast to the glittery opal rounds and the rhinestones.
