Triangle Technique Card

The technique we are doing is called the Triangle Card.   This is a fun way to use your Designer Series paper and create a fun, easy, and quick card.  If you are making a lot of Christmas cards or thank you cards, this is a wonderful time to use this Triangle Card Technique.

The paper measurements are:
Base card is 21cm x14.9cm /5 ½” x 8 ½”
Contrasting cardstock is 14.4cm x 10cm /4” x 5 ¼”
Designer Series Paper is 13.9cm x 9.5cm / 3 ¾” x 5”

I am using Beautifully Penned DSP from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.   (I used the front and the back of the same paper.  You can mix and match the DSP.)

Take your DSP and put it into your paper trimmer.   You will cut your paper diagonally from corner to corner.

Keeping the 2-pieces of paper together rotate the paper and cut it diagonally, corner to corner.

You will end up with 4 triangles, 2 will be longer and 2 will be wider.  (If you cut 2 DSP – this will make 2 cards)

Place the triangle pieces on the contrasting cardstock.   Lay them out first to see how they fit with some contrasting card stock showing below.   Grab your silicone pad and adhere the triangles.   (Mono liquid glue is great because you can move the paper a little.)

Adhere this layer to your base cards.

Decorate!  I used the sentiment from Quiet Meadows stamps set andI also used the die cuts from Ornate Frames.   I added a bow and 3 basic rhinestones to the sentiment.

Viola!   Your card is complete!

How Can I Help?

I do love a black and white card, but this style of card would be great with any of our Designer Series paper packs. Another really useful technique to remember.

As always, do share any projects you create with this technique. I would love to see them.

Stay safe and stay well
