I am showcasing some Harvest themed cards today, including a great Thank You Card for the blog hop with this lovely group of demonstrators this month.
Each month we share Thank You cards that we have created to send to our customers and there is always lots of fabulous inspiration. Of course, you can always change the sentiment to make the designs suitable for lots of other occasions.
My Harvest Themed Cards
The beautiful Harvest Meadow suite of products was the feature of my recent Live. There are some fantastic elements in this suite that enable you to really experiment with texture and colour. The suite includes:
- Nature’s Harvest stamp and dies bundle
- Harvest Meadow 12″ x 12″ designer Series paper
- Timeworn Type 3D embossing Folder
- Diamond Weave Ribbon
- Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed dots
- Cork 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper
You can see all the products I used in my cards listed at the end of the post, with links to my shop.
A Thank You Card
This blog hop is all about Thank You cards and I love the style of the script on this Thank You sentiment.
The flowers were stamped directly onto the Designer Series paper and coloured with blends. I used a mixture of So Saffron and Cinnamon Cider for the flower centres. I also used the “splodge” style stamp in Crumb Cake ink to add a distressed element to the Designer Series paper, that I had already attacked with my scissors to create a rough edge.
The Calypso Coral mat was embossed with the 3D embossing folder.
I used a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock inside my card which I had stamped with Calypso Coral ink.
Die Cuts and Pastels
I created a second card on my live, which I am also sharing here. The sentiment may not say thank you, but it is certainly expressing gratitude to someone dear.
For this card I used the die cuts and some of the fabulous cork specialty paper. You really need to be able to feel this paper to appreciate its texture.
The die cut flower on this card was coloured with the Soft pastels. As you add the colour, the embossed detail created by the die really pops.
Again I added a mat of stamped Very Vanilla cardstock for the card inset.
You can see both of the cards being created on this video
Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects
