During my recent Live, I used the Sweet Stockings Suite to create two fun Christmas cards with stockings.
This great suite features fun pet images both in the stamp set and on the Designer Series paper. There are also 3 sizes of stockings to play with, as well as elements to decorate them. I love the additional elememts in this suite:
- Striped Pool Party Ribbon
- ombre effect Matte Decorative Dots
- and felt that coordinates with the colour palette of the paper.
My Fun Christmas Cards with Stockings
This first card uses Stampin’ Blends to colour stamped and die cut images. The puppy has been given a shiny nose and twinkling eyes with the addition of some Shimmery Crystal Effects. Three different patterns of the Designer Series Paper have also been added to this Pool Party card base and some Decorative Dots.
Do you have a cute puppy on your wish list this Christmas. Puppies always featured on my lists when I was a little girl. One never found its way onto Santa’s Sleigh though.
For this second card I wanted to experiment with die cutting the sheets of felt to make adorable textured stockings. It cut beautifully. I added the toes, heels and decorations with glue dots. This was also my opportunity to play with the stamp that gives a cross stitch effect.
It is great to be able to create cards that feel as good as they look. This is felt s beautifully soft and i love the vibrant colours.
