In today’s post, I am going to be quilting with patterned paper.
We are a group of Demonstrators, led by Louise, seeking to learn, implement and improve our use of technology and online resources in our businesses.
The theme of this month’s hop is Sweet treats, so I thought I would explore a way of using up my oddments of Designer Series paper from the Sweet Talk Suite, after creating all those Valentine’s Cards. After all, every day is the right day to tell someone how special they are to you.
Quilting with Patterned Paper
I used my Stitched Triangle dies to cut out lots of pieces from my Designer Series Paper. I then took a piece of Basic White cardstock and marked it along the centre lengthways and longways. these guide were then used to position the triangles. Any excess was trimmed off and some of the trimmings were used to fill small gaps.
A piece of the Real Red Faux ribbon from the suite was wrapped around the centre and a bow added on top with a glue dot. The label was created with the Double Oval punch.
This mat was added to a Blushing Bride mat of cardstock and then onto a side opening Thick Whisper White base.
Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects
How Can I Help?
This quick and easy project is perfect for those odd bits of Designer Series paper. After all, we don’t want to waste any.
Stay safe and stay well
Helen xx
