For this month’s Casually Crafting Blog hop, I have designed a quick & easy wedding card.
The idea behind this blog hop is to show that you can create beautiful cards even if you don’t have lots of equipment. These beautiful cards are great for crafters who are just starting out, but even avid crafters will love to try these designs.
Tic Tac Toe Challenge
This month we have a Tic Tac Toe Challenge to inspire our projects. I took the middle column for my project: shimmer, heart and pink.
Quick & Easy Wedding Card
A4 metric | Imperial letter Size | |
Thick Basic White Card Base | 14.9cm x 21cm Scored at 10.5cm on the long side | 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Scored at 4 1/4″ on the long side |
Blushing Bride | 14.4cm x 10cm | 5 1/4″ x 4“ |
DSP | 13.9cm x 9.5cm | 5″ x 3 3/4″ |
Mother of Pearl | Punched Heart | Punched Heart |
Blushing Bride | Sentiment Strip | Sentiment Strip |
Instructions for Quick & Easy Wedding Card
- Fold the card along the score line to create the card base.
- To get the most from your cardstock/paper, punch 2 scalloped hearts from the centre of your Blushing Bride cardstock and a plain heart from the bottom right of the DSP. Stick the two mats together and wrap a piece of the Silver Mesh around them before sticking to the card base.
- Stick the DSP heart to one scalloped heart with the reverse pattern showing. The Mother of Pearl heart will stick on the other scalloped heart.
- The Mother of Pearl heart is stuck over the punched hole on the card front with Multipurpose adhesive. The other heart is added with dimensionals.
- The sentiment is heat embossed in white on a strip of Blushing Bride. Dimensionals are adding to the back where it sits over the Mother of Pearl heart and a glue dot the other end.
- Take a piece of the Metallic Mesh ribbon and cut it in half lengthways and use this to tie a bow. Add with a glue dot.
- Add some Basic Rhinestones to finish.
Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects
How Can I Help?
Of course I chose to use Blushing Bride for this card, but you can easily swap out the colours to match the bridal colour scheme if you know it.
