This faux centre step card with decoupage is one that you would give to someone special. It takes time to create, but the results are worth it.
The Blessings of Home bundle consists of a Cling Rubber stamp and a coordinating die set. As well as cutting out the stamped images, there are also dies that provide small blooms and foliage for your projects.
My Faux Centre Step Card with Decoupage
I saw this fancy fold style on a blog post by CindyLeeBee designs and have adapted it into metric measurements. This simple fold makes quite a statement, without the need for any complicated score and cut lines.
The Designer Series paper pieces measure:
- 14.4cm x 6cm (5 1/4″ x 4″)- front panel
- 10cm x 8.5cm (4″ x 3″) – inner panel
- 2.5cm x 10cm (1″ x 4″)- stepper
These pieces are stuck to the cardstock and then the card is put together by sticking the centre front panel to the middle of the stepper on the front and to the back of the inner stepper.
I have combined the card base with a front topper piece that I have created by stamping, cutting and layering up the large stamped image. The image was stamped three times onto Shimmery White cardstock with Stazon ink and then water coloured with ink. The main large image was die cut and then sections of the other two layers were cut out. The pieces were layered with dimensionals.
This dimensional flower arrangement was stuck to the front panel of the stepper card
A sentiment, some ribbon and some Classic Matte dots finished the front of the card.
