For today’s Technique Blog Hop I am sharing a way of using Frames in Card Making.
Each month the Crafty Collaborations Collective bring you projects focused on a different theme and frames is the subject this month.
My project uses frames created by bring together dies from two different sets. The Scalloped Contours and the Stitched Rectangles.
Using Frames in Card Making
The stamp set I have chosen is the Hydrangea Haven, which along with the coordinating dies has carried over into the new catalogue.
The small flower image has been stamped all over the Fresh Freesia Background in Fresh Freesia ink. The two step stamping on the main Hydrangea flower was done in Garden Green and Gorgeous Grape ink. The flower was then die cut.
The smaller Stitched Rectangle was laid inside the larger scalloped rectangle to create a frame. This frame was cut from the centre of the Gorgeous Grape cardstock that sits behind the Fresh Freesia stamped mat on the finished card. Both the flower and the frame were raised up with dimensionals.
The small stitched label die comes from the Hydrangea set.
The card was finished with a bow of White Crinkled Seam Binding as some Pastel Pearls.
Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects
