Using Masking Paper in Cards

Instructions:

1. Fold the card base in half and use bone folder to flatten the fold. Set aside.

2. Die cut the 3rd largest deckle rectangle from the center of the masking paper. Save the inner rectangle for future use. Peel the backing off the masking paper and adhere to one of the pieces of Basic White. Lightly press the deckled edge to the card stock. This piece will be trimmed down later. Use blending brushes to add color to this piece: Soft Sea Form at the bottom, So Saffron in the middle, and Pool Party at the top.

3. Carefully & slowly peel the masking paper off the Basic White card stock. Use paper trimmer to trim this piece to 3 3/8” x 4 11/16” or 8cm x 11.5cm (basically, leave an even border of white around the edge). Adhere this piece to the So Saffron card stock. Adhere this piece to the card front.

4. Die cut the 3rd smallest deckle rectangle from a scrap of Basic White card stock. Use scotch tape or washi tape to mask sections of the sentiment stamp to create the image shown in the sample using Pool Party ink.

5. Adhere to the center of the card front using dimensionals.

6. Die cut 2 butterflies from scraps of So Saffron and Pool Party card stock. Die cut the same shapes from different colored scraps and use scissors to trim the butterfly center and antenna pieces. Adhere to butterflies and adhere butterflies to the card front.

7. Add Heart Pearls to the butterflies and card front as shown on the card front.

8. Stamp remaining piece of Basic White card stock as desired and adhere to the inside of the card.

How Can I Help?

This is such a pretty card in the soft subtle cards and of course you can reuse our masking paper to create multiple versions.

Meanwhile stay safe and stay well
