I thoroughly enjoyed creating cute hippo cards on a recent Live using the Hippest Hippos stamp set and coordinating Hippo dies from Stampin’ Up!.
Both the stamp set and the dies are available as part of the ongoing Sale-a-Bration promotion and they are not to be missed. The cute frolicking hippos are part of a photopolymer stamp set and the dies cut out the stamped images as well as providing adorable accessories.
Creating Cute Hippo Cards
This first card sees the two hippos coloured with Stampin’ Blends. The sentiment comes from another Sale-a-Bration set – Amazing Phrasing. Fun bold sentiments combined with a handwritten font. The Designer Series paper used in this card is from the bold, colourful Hues of Happiness pack.
This would make a fun engagement card.
This second card uses watercolour techniques to add colour to the hippos and background. He is so adorable splashing about in his bathtub, with snorkel and goggles. The background paper on this card comes from the Tea Boutique 6″ x 6″ pack.

How Can I Help
