Todays blog post shows both a watercolour card and a diorama card, both created with the Perched in a Tree Bindle from Stampin’ Up!
I am sharing these projects today as part of the Share it Sunday blog hop. This is an opportunity for members of the Crafty Collaborations community to share projects that they have been working on recently. This makes this blog hop a wonderfully diverse range of ideas, using products from across the Stampin’ Range.
I used the Perched in a Tree bundle from the July to August Mini Catalogue for my cards. This is a Cling Mount, red rubber, stamp set with dies that both coordinate with stamped images and then other complimentary detailed dies.
A Watercolour Card and a Diorama
A Watercolour Robin
This first card uses Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and drops of ink refill to paint this beautifully puffed out little bird, which certainly looks like a UK robin.
Colour has also been added to die cut leaves in autumnal colours. Even the sentiment panel has had a watercolour wash.
The images were all stamped in Saddle Brown Stazon, as it is fits with the colour palette better than black.
Diorama Tree
This second card uses 2 identical layers of the die cut tree, layered uo with side gussets to create this 3D effect.
The trees were coloured with Stampin’ Blends and the background created with texture stamps from the stamp set.
Some die cut leaves add a great embellishment.
This side view gives a better indication of the 3D result that was achieved with this card. A fun make.

I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects
How Can I Help?
I was really pleased with how both of these cards had turned out. Although some of the samples in the catalogue had a hint of a robin about them, none had quite captured this cute garden bird. They are known as a gardeners friend as they will sit close by and watch as you dig in the garden, hoping you’ll dig a few worms and bugs up for them. This little guy was a regular visitor to our garden last spring.
Of course, a change of colours and you could make this image into all manner of small birds. I hope you have been inspired to try.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if I can help with your purchases, or if you have a crafty question.
Meanwhile stay safe and stay well
