Love and Friendship Cards

Today I am sharing two love and friendship cards that I created for the Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog hop.

We are a group of Demonstrators, led by Louise, seeking to learn, implement and improve our use of technology and online resources in our businesses.

Love and Friendship Cards

The theme for this month’s hop is Love and so I knew I wanted to take the opportunity to play with the new Country Lane Floral Suite. This beautiful suite features a stamp and punch bundle as well as two Designer Series Paper packs, some ribbons and some sequins.

My Cards

A slimline card friendship using the Country Lane Floral Suite from Stampin' Up!

This first slimline card features this great sentiment “I love that we are friends.” You could use that to send to a friend any day of the year that you want to show your appreciation for their friendship and care.

I sized this card to fit a DL envelope (19.8cm x 21cm scored at 9.9cm on the shorter side), but the design could be adapted to fit other slimline card sizes.

The floral heart uses a two step stamping technique and is definitely not an image just to be saved for valentine’s Day.

The small gingham hearts were punched from a sheet of the Country Gingham Papers. I love how the two paper packs in this suite work together.

For this second card I wanted to use this great bicycle print. I cut a strip from the DSP to use as a panel and built my card around it. The Basic White card mat had the floral image stamped along the two edges in Balmy Blue ink to tie it in with the rest of the design. A quick and simple card, but very pretty.
