For this month’s Casually Crafting Blog hop, I have designed a card fussy cutting paper flowers for the focal image .
The idea behind this blog hop is to show that you can create beautiful cards even if you don’t have lots of equipment. These beautiful cards are great for crafters who are just starting out, but even avid crafters will love to try these designs.
Fussy Cutting Paper Flowers
A4 metric | Imperial letter Size | |
Basic Black Card Base | 14.9cm x 21cm Scored at 10.5cm on the long side | 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Scored at 4 1/4″ on the long side |
Green DSP | 14.4cm x 10cm | 5 1/4″ x 4“ |
Petal Pink DSP | 10cm x 8cm | 4″ x 3 1/8″ |
Petal Pink | 4.5cm x 1cm | 1 7/8″ x 1/2″ |
Basic Black | 5cm x 1.5cm | 2″ x 5/8″ |
Basic White | 13.9cm x 9.5cm | 3 3/4″ x 5″ |
Instructions
- Fold the card along the score line to create the card base.
- Stick the two mats of Designer Series Paper to the front of the card.
- Using the paper snips, cut out the flowers from the Favored Flowers Designer Series paper. I leave a small border around the edge as I cut them to make it easier.
- The large pair of flowers are stuck to the card front using dimensionals and the small single flower is added underneath with multipurpose adhesive. It is important to put a good amount of dimensionals on the bag of these paper pieces to support them.
- The “Love You” sentiment comes from the “Thanks a Bunch” stamp set, which is another Sale-a-Bration option. Stamped it in Memento ink onto the strip of Petal Pink cardstock and after shaping the end, back with Basic Black card.
- Stick a bow of Basic Black twine to the card front with a glue dot and then add the sentiment strip with dimensionals.
- Some Black Matte Dots give the finishing touch to the front.
- Stick the Basic White mat to the inside of the card with liquid adhesive. Stick the strips of Designer Series paper along the bottom.
Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects
How Can I Help?
The flowers that bloom all over this Sale-a-Bration pack make it ideal for creating quick & easy cards. Of course what makes this paper even more special, is the fact you can claim it for free when you place any order of £45 or more before the end of February.
