I’ve been using background stamps on this cute elephant card which I created for the latest Festive Friday Challenge, which is highlighting World Music Therapy Day, which is happening on March 2nd.
We this occasion in mind the Design Team got to work compiling the Inspo List.
The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!
My project used: supportive sentiment, stripes, neutral colours, twine
Using Background Stamps
The background stamp I used in my card is the Layered Stripes stamp set from the January-April Mini catalogue. I have combined it with the cute elephant and mouse from the Elephant Parade stamp set.
Creating My Card
As one element of the challenge was neutral colours, these fun characters were perfect to use. I coloured them in Smoky Slate and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends respectively. The Background stamp was stamped in Smoky Slate onto Smoky Slate card stock to give as tone on tone look. Some black mats helped the different sections of the card to pop.
The twine I used was Gray Granite, but it worked well with the grey card and ink. The ever useful Matte Black Dots continued the idea of adding black highlights to the project.
This sentiment was a perfect “supportive sentiment” and I layered up the “together” section to emphasis the word.
