This Bright Floral Scrapbook Page was created for this Memory Keeping Blog Hop from the Crafty Collaborations Community and also to answer some questions for my customers.
I don’t create many scrapbook pages but I always enjoy them when I do and resolve to create more. I do believe passionately that we should be getting our treasured photographs off of our mobile devices and into a format where they can be shared with this, and future generations.
My Bright Floral Scrapbook Page
For this page I combined the Artistically Inked stamp set and coordinating des with the bright and Bold 2022-2024 In Colors.
In recent conversations with customers we had discussed how they had this stamp set, but hadn’t really used it and also how they were struggling to use Tahitian Tie and Parakeet Party from the In Colors. I promised them that I would create something combining both the stamp set and colours on an upcoming Live and this scrapbook page and coordinating card were the result.
Scrapbook Page
For this page I gutted the centre of a 12″ x 12″ piece of parakeet Party cardstock and then trimmed a 12″ x 12″ piece of Basic White to mat over the top. I then used 5cm/2″ squares of paper from the 2022-2024 In Color Designer Series Paper stack to build up the background. The flowers from the Artistically inked stamped set were stamped in Sweet Sorbet, Orchid Oasis and Tahitian Tide and the leaves in Parakeet Party. These were then all die cut with the coordinating Artistic dies. Also using he dies, I cut the large detailed leaves in Parakeet Party Shimmer card. This added a touch of sparkle to the page.
The photo mats were cut fro Tahitian Tide and measure 10.5cm / 4 1/4″ square. These will then accommodate photographs that are 10cm/ 4″ square.
After arranging the flowers and leaves, the page was finished with a bow of Tahitian Tide Metallic ribbon and some of the In Color Decorative Dots. I love the Ombre effect of these embellishments.
the little “hey there” sentiment comes from the Charming Sentiment set and is stamped in Starry Sky ink before being die cut with the coordinating dies.
This bright and bold page would make a great setting for group photographs of family or friends.
Birthday Card
While I was stamping and die cutting the flowers and leaves, I did some extra to create this bright, cheery card. The flowers and leaves were layered over a Starry Sky stamped background and another sentiment from the Charming Sentiments Bundle was added.
The card was finished with some Parakeet Party ribbon and some more decorative Dots.
