Today’s card is demonstrating the use of silhouette images on cards. This project is for the latest Festive Friday Challenge where we are celebrating Global Forgiveness Day that happens on July 7th.
Using the them as our starting point, the Design Team have collated a list of elements we call the Inspo List.
The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!
My project used: blue. green, sorry sentiment, silhouette
Silhouette Images on Cards
I decided to use the Grassy Grove stamp set to create my project , as it has a selection of images that work brilliantly as silhouettes.
You can see a full list of the products I have used at the end of the post, including links to my online shop.
Creating The Project
I used three blue inks – Balmy Blue, Boho Blue and Azure Afternoon and three green inks – Lost Lagoon, Old Olive and Shaded Spruce. Using Blending Brushes I created the background to the card.
The silhouette images on the top were stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in Black to make them pop from the background.
I created the sentiment by using the Alphabest stamps and heat embossing with white onto black card. The individual letters were then punched out.
This ink-blended and stamped mat was then added to a Black background and some white twine wrapped around it.
After adding this to a card base some black Classic Matte Dots were added to finish the project.
Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects
How Can I Help?
I hope after you ave hopped around all the inspiration from the design team, you will be ready to create a project for our challenge. We can’t wait to see what you create.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if I can help with your purchases, or if you have a crafty question.
Meanwhile stay safe and stay well
