This card is my contribution to the Design Team’s selection for the latest Festive Friday Challenge, which is celebrating the Summer Olympics
We have used this occasion to come up with a list of elements that we call our Inspo List.
The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!
My project used: Gold, silver, interlocking and rings
Using Metallic Embossing Powder
As we prepare for the Olympics starting soon in Paris, it was natural that we should be inspired by the gold, silver and bronze of the medals.
This card uses interlocking wreaths embossed in silver and flowers embossed in gold. Some Lost Lagoon ink has been blended around the silver wreaths and the flowers have been blended with Highland Heather.
To add more gold and silver, the sentiment was embossed in gold and some silver ribbon was tied through the tag and a bow added. There are also some metallic embellishments.
The card base was Highland Heather and there was a mat of silver foil added.
It is never easy to photograph cards that have metallic layers.
