For today’s post I have been paper piecing on a card for children.
We are a group of Demonstrators, led by Louise, seeking to learn, implement and improve our use of technology and online resources in our businesses.
The theme for this month’s blog hop is Cards For Kids
Paper Piecing on a Card For Children

You can see a full list of the products I have used at the end of the post, including links to my online shop.
Instructions
The card base is a standard Thick Basic White card with a mat of Summer Splash DSP.
The image with the children in the “boat” has been stamped onto a 13.4cm x 9cm / 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ mat of Basic White card with Memento ink. The different parts of the image have then been stamped onto Designer Series paper, including a pile of cushions. All the different parts of the image have then been cut out and built up. The boat part has been left as a separate piece which has then been added with dimensionals.
I was away from home when I created this card and had forgotten my skin tone blends. The children have, therefore, been coloured with Light Crumb Cake blend and some Pretty in Pink has been added to lips and cheeks with ink and a Blender Pen.
Using a Blending Brush, some Summer Splash ink was then added around the image and some Peach Pie stars stamped around. Some splatters were also added using a Summer Splash Stampin’ Write marker.
Once the stamped mat had been added to the card front on a jaunty angle, the sentiment banner was stamped in Shy Shamrock ink and added with dimensionals.
