Today’s post features a whitewash and grey monochromatic card.
Each week Demonstrators from the Crafty Collaborations Community take part in a Monochromatic Insta Hop over on Instagram. Each week a different colour is chosen and the participants create a monochromatic card.
The colour this week is Basic Gray and I can’t wait to see all the other ideas that my fellow demonstrators have come up with
A Whitewash and Grey Card
This is the last of the 3 greys we have featured over recent weeks. This one is a darker shade, so I decided to team it with a whitewash technique to help it pop.
I stamped flowers from the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set and then used watered down White Craft ink to painting the flowers. I stamped, coloured and cut a couple of individual flowers that were then raised up with dimensionals to give the card dimension.
The sentiment was stamped, tone on tone, in Basic Gray. I also used Basic Gray ink to add some splatters.
To add some texture into the project, the Basic Gray mat was then distressed with the blade of my paper snips.
Finally to finish the card front, some Basic Gray pearls were added.
Of course this card was going to need a white insert, so that was stamped with some Basic Gray flowers from the Thoughtful Expressions set.
