Today’s post is sharing an In The Country Scrapbook Page.
This is a monthly blog hop that is brought to you by the Crafty Collaborations Community and its focus is purely on memory keeping projects, whether that is scrapbook pages , Memory and More pocket pages, or memory books.
This is an area I want to develop, both personally and in my business. So share my journey with me as I go from a relative novice scrapbooker and learn techniques, embrace new ideas and explore the expanding range of products that Stampin’ Up will be introducing over the coming months.
In The Country Scrapbook Page
For this page I used papers from the Country Lace Designer Series pack and stamps and dies from the Country Birdhouse bundles. These are both part of the Country Woods Suite which is a mega suite from the Annual Catalogue.
You can see a full list of the products I have used at the end of the post, including links to my online shop.
The page is built on a piece of 12″ x 12″ Smoky Slate cardstock. Four pieces of 5 3/4″ Designer Series Paper have been stuck in the background. A white gel pen was used to add faux stitching around the outside of each of these squares.
Nine different 3/4″ strips of DSP have been stuck down the left-hand side. 3 strips are then added on the bottom right.
There are two Smoky Slate photo mats, each measuring 4 1/4″ x 6 1/4″ . These are ready to receive two 4″ x 6″ photographs.
A little birdhouse was cut from the Designer Series Paper. The little bird was stamped in Basic Gray ink onto Designer Series Paper and then some colour added with a Petal Pink and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend and some shading with a Smoky Slate Blend. I cut a whole bunch of flowers from the paper to decorate.
The birdhouse has been added to the page with Dimensionals.
Adding Journaling
In the top left of the page is a 2″ x 6″ piece of Smoky Slate, which has been folded in half to form a piece to add your journaling.
Some stamping has been added to the Designer Series Paper layer on the front of this piece. Both the flowers and the splatters have been stamped in Misty Moonlight. Some colour has been added to the flower with Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend. Once stuck in place, the bottom corner of this piece will tuck underneath the roof of the birdhouse.
Creating a Title
In the bottom left-hand corner of the page I have used the A la Mode Alphabet to die cut “country” from patterned paper and the Mini-Alphabet dies to die cut “in the” from Basic Beige cardstock.
More decoration has been added with die cut paper flowers and leaves and the flower image that was stamped to match the flower in the top left.
To finish some Petal Pink foiled gems were added to the centre of the larger flowers.
Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects
