My project today shows how I have created decoupage with stamped images. This is my project for this month’s blog hop from The Tech 4 Stampers Academy group.

We are a group of Demonstrators, led by Louise, seeking to learn, implement and improve our use of technology and online resources in our businesses.

The theme for this month was birthdays and I decided to use the Poised Peony Stamp set to feature in my project.

You can see a full list of the products I have used at the end of the post, including links to my online shop.

Decoupage With Stamped Images

When I first started card making 20 plus years ago, I used to do a lot of decoupage cards, using both pop out sheets and images I fussy cut. It is something I rarely do these days, but occasionally when I look at an image in a set stamp, it strikes me that it would be perfect for layering up. This lovely big flower in the Poised Peony set was one such image.

I firstly stamped a flower in Memento ink onto the die cut Basic White tag which had been cut using the Greeting of the Seasons Dies. Two more flower heads were then stamped onto Basic White card. These were all coloured with Berry Burst Stampin’ Blend. One of the flower heads was coloured completely and the other one was just coloured in the bottom section that I would then cut away. For the flower on the tag, the stem and leaves were coloured with Granny Apple Green and I just added colour around the outside edge of the flower head.

Both the fully coloured flower head and the partial flower were cut out and layered up onto the label with dimensionals. Wink of Stella was then added to the flower and some splatters using the Berry Burst Stampin’ Blend.

Silver ribbon was threaded through the top of the tag, before a piece of white twine was tied around it.

The Background

The smaller flower image was stamped repeatedly with Berry Burst ink onto a Berry Burst mat of card and this was then stuck to a standard sized tent fold Thick Basic White card base. The tag was then stuck to the card base.

The sentiment was stamped onto Basic White card with Memento ink and the individual words cut out. These were then added to the front of the tag.

To finish some of the pink Iridescent Adhesive Backed Discs were added to the tag.

Let’s Hop

I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects
