In today’s blog post I have been using hybrid embossing folders.
I am joining in this blog hop with the Stamping With Friends group and the theme for this one is Autumn/Fall 9depending on where you live in the world. I have never outgrown the simple pleasure of kicking through piles of fallen leaves. And the trees with leaves turning from green to red, gold and brown is always a delightful sight. With this in mind I created a card laden with colourful leaves.
Using Hybrid Embossing Folders
For this card I used the Changing Leaves bundle, which consists of a photopolymer stamp set and a hybrid embossing folder & dies. These hybrid folders are relatively new to the Stampin’ Up! range. You can nestle the die into the embossing folder and it will both emboss and cut with one roll through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. Of course, without the die, it acts as a standard 3D embossing folder.
I embossed some Shaded Spruce card with the Changing Leaves embossing folder and added to the card base. Next I die cut a large label from Crumb Cake card., scrunched it up and then flattened it out. Using a Blending Brush tI added Crumb Cake ink to the label.
Using the die and the embossing folder together, three embossed leaves were cut from Daffodil Delight card. A Blending Brushes was used to add Cajun Craze, Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler ink to the leaves. These leaves were then stuck to the label. Some polka dot ribbon was thread through the label and tied with some Linen thread
The “hello” sentiment was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink onto Crumb Cake card. I Cut around the sentiment and added this to the label as well.
Finally, the label was added to the card front with dimensionals.
