Inlaid Die Cuts

This autumnal card features inlaid die cuts using the Autumn Expressions bundle from Stampin’ Up!

My project is my contribution to the Stampin’ Dreams blog hop. We are a group of Demonstrators that are all part of the Crafty Collaborations community and each month we bring you a different hop with a different theme. This month the theme is Fall/Autumn.

For my card I took the detailed leaf die from the bundle and cut three leaves from the top right-hand side of a mat of basic White card.. I then cut 6 leaves, 2 each from Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry and Early Espresso.

The sentiment was stamped onto the Basic White mat with Early Espresso ink and some ink splatters were also added using a water painter and ink. This mat was added to an Early Espresso mat and a Crushed Curry card base.

Three leaves were added into the die cut holes, but raised up with dimensionals. Torn strips of the 3 colours of card were added across the bottom of the card. The other three leaves were then added – 2 stuck down with multipurpose adhesive and the third added to the strips with dimensionals. A bow of Crumb Cake twine was added to this leaves stalk with a glue dot. The front was finished with some yellow Faux Glass Dots.
