Each week Demonstrators from the Crafty Collaborations Community take part in a Monochromatic Insta Hop over on Instagram. Each week a different colour is chosen and the participants create a monochromatic card.
The colour this week is Granny Apple Green and I can’t wait to see all the other ideas that my fellow demonstrators have come up with
Granny Apple Green & Reversible Stamps
I have used both the Natural Botanicals reversible stamp set and the Elements of Text stamp set to create this card. Using Granny Apple Green, I stamped the detailed image of this large leaf all over a background mat of Granny Apple Green. On top of that I have added some text in 2nd generation Granny Apple Green ink and some full strength splatters.
To create the topper, I first cut a rectangle from Basic White using the Textured Notes dies. I love all the borders on these dies. I stamped the sentiment (from the Simply Said stamp set) and some of the same text and splatters as used in the background.
On a separate piece of Basic White I stamped both the front of the leaf and then using 2nd Generation ink, the back of the stamp to fill in some colour. After fussy cutting the leaf, I added it to the rectangle, along with a double bow of Linen Thread.
Rather than adding any embellishments, I used my Fine Tip Glue pen to add some dots to the leaves to give a water droplet effect.
