Using Generational Stamping

Each week Demonstrators from the Crafty Collaborations Community take part in a Monochromatic Insta Hop over on Instagram. Each week a different colour is chosen and the participants create a monochromatic card.

The colour this week is Melon and I can’t wait to see all the other ideas that my fellow demonstrators have come up with

Using Generational Stamping

For my card I used the 2 3/8″ Circle Punch to create an aperture in a layer of Melon Mambo card. I then embossed that layer with the Pressed Flower Embossing Folder. This gave the top section of this card lovely detail.

To sit behind the aperture I used two sizes of flowers from the Impressions Abloom stamp set. This stamp set gives you [pairs of flowers to allow 2 swtep stamping. For the large flower, I stamped the detailed stamp in Melon Mambo. For the background stamp, I stamped off once onto scrap paper to give a 2nd Generation Melon Mambo shade.

Using Masking Paper, I created a mask to cover this large flower and then stamped the smaller flower twice. For the detailed image of this smaller flower, I stamped off once to give a 2nd generation colour. Then for the background image, I stamped off twice to get a 3rd generation colour. I filled in around the flowers with some Melon Mambo splatters susing one of the stamps from the Elements Of Text stamp set . (oh, how I love this stamp set! I hope you’ve got yours.)

This stamped piece of Basic White was stuck to a Melon Mambo card base and the embossed mat was added over the top with dimensionals.

The two part sentiment was added around the aperture, along with a bow of white twine.

The final touch was those gorgeous Melon Mambo Glossy Dots.
