Using Embossing Folders to Create Backgrounds

Each week Demonstrators from the Crafty Collaborations Community take part in a Monochromatic Insta Hop over on Instagram. Each week a different colour is chosen and the participants create a monochromatic card.

A couple of weeks ago the colour was Lost Lagoon and there were some great ideas that my fellow demonstrators came up with

Using Embossing Folders to Create Backgrounds

For my project I used the Adventurous Sky bundle, which is still available here in the European Market, but is on Last Chance.

I stamped some clouds onto a die cut Arch and then added a Lost Lagoon aeroplane using dimensionals over the top. To add colour to the plane, I used a Blender Pen to drag out some colour on the main body and then Stampin’ Blends on the wings.

These great sentiments are designed to hug the edge of the arch.

I wanted something behind the arch that felt that it fitted with the theme of the card and this Soft Waves embossing folder reminded me of moving air currents,

The embellishments were some of the Faceted Gems.
