In today’s blog I am demonstrating using paper weaving in card making.
Stamp Around UK Video Hop

On the 1st of each month a Video Hop launces over on You Tube featuring a selection of UK Demonstrators. I am delighted to be a part of this talented team.
July’s theme was Patterns.
I decided to create a pattern with Designer Series paper. by weaving some strips.
You can see a full list of the products I have used at the end of the post, including links to my online shop.
Using Paper Weaving in Card Making

I created the “loom” for my weaving from a piece of Crumb Cake card measuring 10cm x 11cm (3 5/8″ x 4 3/8″). leaving 0.5cm (1/8″) top and bottom, I cut vertical strips at 1cm (3/8″) intervals. I then wove 1 cm (3/8″) strips of DDP through the “loom” alternating if the paper went over or under a strip.
I added a die cut frame from the Storybook Friends bundle and some of the die cut elements from the Storybook Moments Specialty Paper Pack. I also tied some Linen Thread around it. The finished woven piece was mounted on to a square card, which had been backed with coordinating paper,
To finish, I added some blue pearls from the Adhesive backed Pearl Trio.
More Weaving

I had recently completed another woven project in response to a Colour Challenge during our last Stamp Camp. This one used fussy cut images and sentiment from the Celebratory Sips Suite. The woven strips were cardstock rather than paper in this project.
