Creating A Honey Jar Shaped Card

For today’s post I have been creating a honey jar shaped card.

This card is my contribution to the Design Team’s selection for the latest Festive Friday Challenge, which is celebrating World Bee Day.

We have used this occasion to come up with a list of elements that we call our Inspo List.

The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge.  Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all!  The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list! 

My project used: Yellow, Black, Orange, Black Gems, Honey, Flowers

Creating A Honey Jar Shaped Card

The Filled With Sweetness Bundle, which is part of the Handmade Sweetness Suite of products, contains a large die that cuts out a jar shaped card. There is a coordinating stamp that adds the detail to your jar and other dies to accessorise, including the adorable covering that I have cut from Black card, but can also be cut for lots of pretty papers to represent the pretty cotton fabrics that are often made from.

To fit the theme of the Challenge, I choose Crushed Curry for my card base for my jar filled to the top with honey. The little bear is fussy cut from the papers in the Suite and the die cut flowers are also from the die set. For the centre of the flowers I have used some Basic Rhinestones that I have coloured Black with a Stampin’ Blend.

It is the details that the dies can provide you with that make all the difference and the Timid Tiger string wrapped around the cover and finished with a bow are created with die cuts.

The sentiment is perfect for this project.
