I have been adding to texture to cards for this latest Technique Tuesday Blog Hop from the Crafty Collaborations Group.

In fact the technique we are exploring in this hop is texture, so as you hop around all the projects, I am sure you will find lots of inspiration

Adding Texture to Cards

For my cards I am featuring two projects I created on a recent Live which were focusing on adding texture in different ways. For these, I used products from the new Tea Boutique Suite which is in the new Annual Catalogue

Clear Embossing

For this first card, I wanted to add a glaze to my tea cups to give them a glossy finish. This was achieved by pressing Versamark ink over the stamped images and then adding clear embossing powder.

This gives the cups a very different look and feel. Further texture was added with the new In Color ribbon, which has been frayed on the ends.

Embossing Folder and Distressing

The second card has a panel of Designer Series paper that has been embossed with the Timeworn Embossing folder and the edges have been distressed with the blade of my scissors. The distressed look has been highlighted by using a Blending Brush and Pear Pizzazz ink to make the embossed areas of the paper pop.

You can see both of these cards being created on this video.

Let’s Hop

I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects

How Can I Help?

I had great fun creating these cards. They illustrate how versatile this new Suite of Products is. I do love a cup of tea and when you combine tea with crafting, what is not to like.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if I can help with your purchases, or if you have a crafty question.

Meanwhile stay safe and stay well
