For this month’s Sale-a-Bration themed Blog Hop I have created an Otter Themed Aperture Card.
We are a group of Demonstrators, led by Louise, seeking to learn, implement and improve our use of technology and online resources in our businesses.
An Otter Themed Aperture Card
The Awesome Otters is one of the stamp sets that is featured in the Sale-a-Bration brochure. You can earn this set with any £45 order ( other countries values will vary).
Alongside ducks, I have a very soft spot for otters, so I was delighted to see this set.
A4 Metric Cardstock | Imperial Letter Size Cardstock | |
Pool Party Card Base | 14.9cm x 21cm Scored at 10.5cm on the long side | 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Scored at 4 1/4″ on the long side |
Pear Pizzazz | 14.4cm x 10cm | 5 1/4″ x 4“ |
Basic White x 3 | 13.9cm x 9.5cm | 5″ x 3 3/4″ |
Instructions
- The Pool Party card base was folded along the score line.
- The Painted Texture Embossing Folder was inked up with Pool Party ink and spritzed. A piece of the Basic White card was placed in the embossing folder and run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss.
- Once dry, this piece of card was die cut with the circular Picture This die.
- This aperture piece was laid on top of a second piece of Basic White card and the circles marked with pencil so there is a guide for stamping the otters.
- Stamp the otters in the larger circles with Memento. In the smaller circles, stamp some seaweed from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set in Pear Pizzazz, along with some Pool Party dots from the same stamp set.
- Colour the otters with Stampin’ Blends.
- Rub out the pencil marks and stick the embossed mat on top of the stamped mat. Stick to the Pear Pizzazz and then the card front.
- Stamp the sentiment in Pear Pizzazz on Basic White card and cut into strips. Back on some Pear Pizzazz card and add to the card front with mini dimensionals. Finish by adding some faux sea glass pieces to the smaller circles.
- The final mat of Basic White card is for the insert. Stamp some seaweed in the corner before sticking in place.
