Welcome to this blogpost where I have been creating a Gray Granite Monochromatic Card.
Each week Demonstrators from the Crafty Collaborations Community take part in a Monochromatic Insta Hop over on Instagram. Each week a different colour is chosen and the participants create a monochromatic card.
The colour this week is Gray Granite and I can’t wait to see all the other ideas that my fellow demonstrators have come up with.
This will be my first time joining in with this hop, indeed it will be the first time I have taken part in an Instagram Hop. Another first!
Creating A Gray Granite Monochromatic Card
I think that Gray Granite is such a mushroom colour, so this image from the Inspirational Sketches stamp set seemed the perfect choice. It is stamped onto the large tag from the new Greetings of the Season die set. This set is fast becoming a go-to set for me. You can find amongst the latest additions to the Online Exclusives on the Stampin’ Up! website.
I stamped the image in Gray Granite ink and then quickly added some new Wow clear embossing powder. This gives the image a bit of a shine and a raised surface.
The sentiment is taken from the Inspirational Sketches stamp set and I cut around the words, seperating it into 2 pieces. Some Gray Granite Twine was threaded through the top of the tag and a separate smaller piece tied around it with a bow.
The tag needed a background to sit on, so I stamped the large Leaf Collection stamp onto a mat of Gray Granite card with, of course, Gray Granite ink.
The embellishments are the Adhesive Backed Dappled Dots which you will find as part of the Lily Pond Lane Suite.

How Can I Help?
As a Demonstrator from the UK, the only issue I have with Gray Granite is the fact it triggers my autocorrect functions. Here in the UK it is rare that we use Gray as the spelling for this colour. Grey is far more common. But I love this colour – so all is forgiven.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if I can help with your purchases, or if you have a crafty question.
Meanwhile stay safe and stay well
