The firework slimline card in today’s blog post is using the Light The Sky stamp and die bundle from Stampin’ Up!
This card is my contribution to the Design Team’s selection for the latest Festive Friday Challenge, which is celebrating 4th of July..
We have used this occasion to come up with a list of elements that we call our Inspo List.
The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!

Firework Slimline Card
We, of course, don’t celebrate the 4th of July here in the UK.
But that doesn’t mean we can’t get inspired by this Inspo List.
I used the Light The Sky stamp set and dies to create this slimline card that is perfect for any celebration and which has a masculine feel to it.
The photopolymer stamp set features lots of images that can be used alone or layered up to produce the perfect firework display. The sentiments include a New Year greeting as well as more generic celebratory ones.
The dies mainly feature dies that cut into the cardstock revealing the surface underneath and this could be card, Designer Series paper, foil, glimmer card or perhaps a surface you have blended or painted yourself.

Splatters Galore
For my card the firework dies cut into the Night of Navy cardstock revealing the burst of white underneath. Splatters were added using White Craft ink that had been watered down. These could be stars, or more fireworks. You can also just pick out the die that leaves the impression of a small splattering of fireworks.
The sentiment was from the stamp set and I heat embossed it in white.
