Autumn is coming and it is time for a new Festive Friday challenge and this time the theme is celebrating the First Day of Fall. the children have returned to school, there are lots of harvest spiders in the garden and my neighbours apples are a beautiful red so there is starting to be a sense of autumn approaching.

There is a great Inspo List for this challenge and you have to choose at least 3 to make your project. As long as your project contains 3 of those elements from the list, it doesn’t have to tie in with the celebration. Stampin’ Up have got some great Autumnal products in the mini catalogue, so I saw no reason not to celebrate the coming of autumn. The elements from the list i choose were:

• Leaves
• Acorns
• Plaid
• green
• Brown

My Project

Autumn Days spent kicking through the fallen leaves are the best – especially if you are wearing your favourite wellies. Your wellies aren’t the only essential accompaniment to an autumn day though. You need to have an umbrella on stand by. I thought I would combine all these thoughts in my card for this challenge. I added in some Plaid tidings DSP to give my umbrella a Burberry feel – only the best!

Autumn is Coming – Let’s Celebrate

Don’t you just love with this little Autumn Punch Pack? You can quickly create a flurry of fallen leaves with the punches. You can of course add details with the matching stamps if you would like – but for this card it was punch and go.

The umbrella was quickly created with the “Under my Umbrella” stamp set and its coordinating Umbrella building punch and I also found the sentiment in that stamp set.

The wellies were fussy cut, having been stamped with the stamp from “Under my Umbrella” and decorated with a stamp from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set. I cut the two wellies apart and added one with glue and the other with a dimensional.

The splatters were added to my decorated stitched label with a Early Espresso Stampin’ Write marker. I just had to finish the card with one of the adorable Acorn trinkets.
