When I am shopping in mid December, I always have to make sure I add a poinsettia for Christmas to my shopping basket. The house never feels quite dressed for the festive season without one.
I have been playing with the new Poinsettia Place suite quite a bit this week and I absolutely love it. It is such a clever combination of stamps and dies and there is so much you can do with them.
Friday’s Facebook Live
I featured this set in my Facebook Live on Friday. I dug out my watercolour paper and my water painters and created cards with a watercolour feel.
The Stamps
With the help of a post-it-note mask, I created this flourish of poinsettia which I painted with Merry Merlot and Cherry Cobbler inks.
The Mossy meadow mat was embossed with Tasteful textiles 3D embossing folder for added detail.
The Dies
The dies are fabulous for cutting out your stamped images and also some of the images in the Designer series paper. However, that is not the extent of their creative uses. There are also dies which will emboss your cardstock and it is these dies I used in my second card. Using watercolour paper, I cut and embossed the flower components and the leaves and then added colour with my water painters. Poinsettias don’t just come in red, so I coloured this one with Flirty Flamingo.
