Have you got your advent countdown projects ready? It is now only a month until the beginning of December, so if you plan to get creative and make something to help you count down the days to Christmas, then we have ideas to help you.
Advent Countdown Project in a Kit.
This gorgeous kit is a returning favourite from last year. The kit includes more than enough supplies to decorate the 25 mini boxes that are supplies. plus you get the sturdy outer box to hold them all. When you get to Christmas day, this countdown kit just keeps on giving. You can turn the mini boxes around and decorate them for other celebrations, or as cute storage.
Memory and More Cards
Dual Purpose Advent Countdown Projects
This idea can combine advent countdown projects with memory keeping.
Choose a card for each day of advent and create an advent banner by adding each card to a numbered peg, attached to a length of twine.
On each day during advent, add a photograph and a piece of journalling to the peg. By Christmas you will have everything on hand to create an album of your Christmas Countdown. You can have pictures of baking; wrapping; decorating; enjoying a gingerbread latte and of course crafting.
Don’t forget to add your Memories and More Album and pockets to your shopping list.
Little Houses
These cute little houses are one of the samples in the June-December Mini Catalogue and they would be perfect as a little advent village.
Die cut two of the little houses from the Home Together dies. From matching cardstock cut a piece of card 1 1/4″ x 2 1/2″. Score the card at 1/8″ in on each long end and 3/4″ in at each short end. Cut at the intersecting score lines and fold up. Glue a house onto each bare side.
Little Bags Galore.
Last, but not least is the idea of using lots of little numbered bags to create a string of advent goodies.
For the base of the bag you need a piece of cardstock measuring 2 1/4″ x 1 3/4″, scored on all 4 sides at 1/2″
The body of the bag uses some Designer Series Paper measuring 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″
To make the strip around the top you need a piece of cardstock measuring 4 1/2″ x 1/4″
For my numbers I used stamps from the “Family party” set and dies from the Playful Alphabets and the stars were from the Stitched Stars.
You can see me creating a little bag in this video.
