I’m not sure I would actually want to eat ice-cream for breakfast, but February 6th is eat ice-cream for breakfast day, so we, at the Festive Friday Challenge, are celebrating that.

For each of our challenges we produce an Inspo List

The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge.  Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all!  The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!

My Ice-Cream Project

This challenge gave me the perfect opportunity to play with the new Sweet Ice-cream bundle. I was also intrigued by the opportunities to use triangles in the project.

The pink and black striped paper mat has stitched triangles cut from the 4 corners and spotted bumblebee paper has been inset into the holes. Both papers are taken from the Sale-a-Bration Flower & Field Designer Series paper. This paper layer was stuck to a Bumblebee card layer.

I stamped the ice-cream in both Bumblebee and Flirty Flamingo ink and die cut them, before stamping the cone with Crumb Cake and Cinnamon Cider ink. Again I die cut the stamped image. Whilst I had my dies out, I also die cut a banner (more triangles) in the spotted paper.

I stuck the banner flat onto the card mat and then built up the ice-cream using dimensionals. Some linen thread was wrapped around the paper/card mat before attaching this to a Crumb Cake base. The sentiment was attached to the bottom triangle. The finishing touch was some Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.

And once you have seen all the inspiration from the Design Team, it will be time to create your own project for the challenge.

Now it is time to create your own project for the challenge. Just remember these 3 things:

  • Incorporate at least 3 things from the Inspo List
  • Don’t link your project to any more than 3 challenges, including ours.
  • You can submit upto 3 entries in each challenge.

Eat Ice-Cream for Breakfast Supplies

Whether you like ice-cream for breakfast, or you would rather have a bowl of cereal, I hope you will still take part in the fun challenge.

Stay safe and stay well.
