I enjoyed all the creative possibilities of creating cards with Welcoming Windows bundle from Stampin’ Up on a recent Live.
The bundle consists of a photopolymer stamp and a coordinating die set. As well as cutting out the stamped images, there are also dies that create embossed elements for your projects.
My Cards With Welcoming Windows Projects
This first card has a clean and simple look that is achieved with the use of lots of white space. The different coloured flowers in the window box were achieved by using my Stamparatus and colouring direct to stamp with the Stampin’ Write markers.
This second card was a fancy fold card. This Dutch barn Door style of card is simple to put together, but creates a wow on the mantelpiece.
The basic card base measurements are:
Metric:
- 28cm x 12.6cm, scored at 18cm on the long side
- 8.4cm x 25.2cm, scored at 6.3cm and 18.9cm on the long side.
Imperial Letter Size
- 11″ x 5″, scored at 7″ on long side
- 10″ x 3 1/2″, scored at 2 1/2″ and 7 1/2″ on long side
I used the brick wall paper from the “Bloom Where You’re Planted” Designer Series Paper for my background.
And of course we had to add a little bit of stamping on the inside too.
