Fancy Fold Dutch Barn Door

For today’s “What Shall We Make? You Tube video, I thought I would create a fancy Fold Card – Dutch Barn Door card. These Dutch Barn Door Cards are easy to make, but look very effective. This 5″ x7” card was created using one sheet of A4 cardstock.

For this card I used the Bird and Branches bundle and the DSP was from the Flowers for Every Season Bundle. The colour palette of the paper is mainly the new In Colors, so I concentrated on those, adding in some paler colours for the birds and Calypso Coral for the blossom.

The Measurements for this Dutch Barn Door Fancy Fold card are:

Just Jade Card:

• 5″ x 11″ – I cut a 5″ strip from the length of the A4 card and then trimmed it to 11″ long. I then scored these piece at 7″ on the long side.
• 10″ x 3 5/16″ (approx) – this was the remaining long strip of card, trimmed to 10″ long. I scored this piece at 2 1/2″ and 7 1/2″ on the long side.
• 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ (to cut circle insert from)
• oddments for branch and border

Bumblebee Card:

• 6 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ (inside panel)
• 4 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ (top flap)
• 3″ x 2 1/4″ (doors – you need 2 of these)

Designer Series Paper

• 4 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ (top flap)
• 2 3/4″ x 2″ (doors – you need 2 of these)

Whisper White to stamp birds, blossom and greetings.
