On this blog post I will share some embossing techniques with decorative masks.
This is the second Live I have done featuring the Plenty of Patterns decorative masks and we have explored some different ways you can utilise this tool in your crafting. They are such a versatile addition to your crafty stash.
Embossing Techniques with Decorative Masks
For this first card, I used the broken glass style mask and used scrap paper to mark off the area I didn’t want to use. I then dabbed Versamark ink through the remaining mask area and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
To accompany this black and white look, I added a Party Puffin and his birthday fish.
This second card features a strip of Basic White onto which I have stencilled Magenta Madness flowers using Embossing Paste that I have coloured with ink refill. The colour has turned out a little more Flirty Flamingo, but it is fun to experiment with quantities of ink.
To accompany this floral strip, I have stamped and coloured some Tropical Blooms from the Timeless Tropical stamps set, which were cut out with the coordinating dies.
