There are many techniques using masks in card making. For these projects I combined the “Plenty of Patterns” masks with my Blending Brushes.
There are four different patterned masks in this lovely set and I choose two for these cards.
- a mandala style mask and
- a fish scale style mask
Using Masks in Card Making
Firstly I used one of the mandala patterns from the mask, my blending brushes and Lovely Lipstick ink to create a background. I then drew around the pattern, coloured it with Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut the shape out.
This second card used the fish scale style mask to create a ombre background. The inks I used were Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana. I combined this with the Whale Done stamp sets.

How Can I Help
I am looking forward to getting my masks out again to play with other techniques very soon. Along with the Blending Brushes they are another useful tool.
