A Black & White Sympathy Card

For today’s post I have created a black & white monochromatic sympathy card.

This card is my contribution to the Design Team’s selection for the latest Festive Friday Challenge, which is celebrating Piano Day.

We have used this occasion to come up with a list of elements that we call our Inspo List.

The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!

My project used: Black, white, metallic gems, torn paper, stripes.

A Black & White Sympathy Card

I brought together a selection of ephemera pieces, stamped images and a punched circle to create this monochromatic card.

The background layer on this Basic Black card base is created by stamping onto Basic White card in Tuxedo Black Memento ink with the new Painted Stripes Background Stamp. The stamped mat was then torn on the top and bottom edge.

A Basic Black torn strip of card was then layered onto this and some Black Twine was tied around it.

The flowers were from the Fully Flowering Mix and Match Ephemera Pack.

Comforting Thought is a sentiment stamp set packed with words for any who are in need of our support. This one has been embossed in white onto a 1 3/4″ punched circle of Basic Black card. The butterfly comes from the Something for Everything Ephemera pack.

To finish, I added some silver Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems.
