A blog post featuring a card making challenge.
Welcome to this month’s Crafty Challenge Hop. This Hop is brought to you be members of the Crafty Collaborations Community. We are a group of demonstrators who like to take part in the diversity of hops that the group put on. This one features a different challenge each month.
This month’s challenge is a Roll Challenge
A Card Making Challenge
This card is a standard book fold sized card in Thick Basic White.
The Regal Colours are covered by the Pretty Peacock Paper which comes from the Lily pond Lane 6″ x 6″ Designer Series paper pack . The stamped floral image is coloured with Stampin’ Blends in Real Red, Blueberry Bushel, Old Olive and Pretty Peacock. At bit of Wild Wheat has also been used for flower centres. The churn is coloured with Cajun Craze. Some more Pretty Peacock has been used in stamping the sentiment. The sentiment is a friendship themed choice – another box ticked.
Die cuts are ticked off with the use of the large label from the Greetings of the Season die set and then the flowers were also die cut with the coordinating die from the Country Flowers bundle.
The bling is provided with the gold in both ribbons and the gold flecks in the Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems . Wink of Stella has also been added to the flowers.
Another Countryside Flowers Project
At the same time as I created my challenge card, I also created this sympathy card. This has a much more muted colour palette. Some masking was used to create the arrangement of containers and table. Stampin’ Blends were used to colour the images and a blending brush was used to add ink around the edge of the white mat to give a vintage feel. The Petal Pink designer Series paper comes from the Country Lace pack.
You can see a full list of the products I have used at the end of the post, including links to my online shop.
